She conducts workshops for groups and organizations on improving reading skills, group dynamics, and reading interpretation. Laurie Kretchmar is
former editor-in chief of Women.com Networks, one of the leading web sites for women with over 4
million unique visitors every month. As the founding editor at Women.com, Laurie launched the
company's first web site in 1995. She speaks frequently on publishing and the Internet to industry groups and national
business organizations. She is an avid reader.
Hut Landon is executive director
of the Northern California Independent Bookseller's Association and one of the originators of the
Book Sense program for the American Bookseller's Association.
David Laduke is co-founder
and vice president of marketing at Linuxcare. David has held senior-level marketing and consulting
positions at Apple, Netscape, Oracle, NeXT and Silicon Graphics. He holds an MBA from the Tuck
School at Dartmouth College and an MFA and BA from Columbia, where he won the Tennessee
Williams Award for creative writing.
